The Limousin is a paradise for nature lovers<\/strong> (for instance, there is the possibility to walk, fish, cycle, go for a horse-ride and to play golf).<\/p>\n The Limousin consists of the departments Creuse, Corr\u00e8ze and Haute-Vienne<\/strong>. It is a wooded and hilly area with many rivers. The numerous lakes, the medieval villages, the Roman churches and the characteristic building style make this area very much worth exploring.<\/strong><\/p>\n The region has a particularly rich cultural and historical heritage, as demonstrated by the many castles along the Route of Richard the Lionheart, as well as the Pilgrim\u2019s Route (Lemovicensis) which goes through the Creuse all the way to Santiago de Compostella<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Other specialties are the Limoges porcelain, the enamel of the Limousin and the tapestries of Aubusson, which have been internationally recognised. These artistic traditions are still very much alive in the area.
